Unofficial word on Mr Geez and his lack of posting of late: He has quit most of his trading to focus on a dress company he just started up. I believe we can expect posts on a less frequent basis, as he is working on getting more designs out the door. Thanks for the journal so far geez, hope you post more soon!
I heard that he already has his 1st design out for fashion week possible NSFW http://fwdfish.com/files/part1.00000208.03080404_gmail.com_1218269149_orig.jpg In all seriousness... Thanks Geez for the great journal!!! This has been one of more informative and entertaining threads on ET. If there is one take away I've learned from your posting, it is that having a disciplined money management strategy can make or break a trader.
One of geez's last posts I saw in the trading room was something about two 23 old interns needing attention. I think it was Fri afternoon, just before happy hour.
Geez's journal is one of the most interesting and most worthy of following. I have learned some good trading disciplines from him. I think it is unlike Geez to just stop the journal without saying anything -- we know how passionate he is about trading. I just hope Geez is doing fine and will get back on the journal soon. OC
Still here...just using my 50% avg on a 2 to 1 R/R: Went out w/ 2 interns Friday night....got 1 to fly out toNapa Valley, San Fran, Carmel, Ghost Tree & possibly Tahoe for the rest of the week...will be trading the bet tomorrow tho! (no its not Jeg!)

It would be useful if you had a little more advanced stats. ins, Losses, average% and all of this are relatively worthless. Newer traders focus on them, but experienced traders know they don't really tell you anything about trading. Profit Factor, Sharpe, max drawdown and things like that are far more valuable, even just to yourself. Here is some discussion on calculating Sharpe: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=53551 Profit Factor is simply the sum of all wins divided by the sum of all losses. ($ values, not #wins or losses) max drawdown is simply your worst % loss, peak to valley.
