IMHO a journal on a public forum should be an educational tool. If all you wanted was a journal for yourself, you certainly wouldn't need to post here on ET. I love all the charts and discussions on this journal, R.W.'s and my own. retire45 has a nice ES journal going too.
Hello Geez, I am one of your biggest fans, and you know that.....I believe that your approach is very straightforward and your results till today prove that clearly.I also appreciate the fact that you've been very honest, posting your good and your bad trades, discussing your mistakes and admitting that since you are human, mistakes will happen...In a phrase,I believe that this is the best educational thread in the whole ET forum. I am a mechanical engineer and I strongly believe in structure and rules. As for trading,I also believe that a good method should work equally well,on average,in all liquid markets and in all time frames. So,I am very interested to see your 4 patterns analyzed by you, maybe with a few examples for each of them,so that I'll be able to apply them in the markets I watch.Andin this sense,I strongly believe that they should be posted here,in this thread, for 2 reasons: First,it would be easier for all of us who are regularly watching this thread to come and re-study them from time to time.A;so,it will be easier to ask you questions on them,in this forum since we are partisipating on a daily basis, watching your trades, commenting on them, etc. Second,I think it would be great if you give them names, say A,B,C,D, and refer to them whenever you post a trade. In this way,it will be easier for us to follow your logic in each trade you post. Have a nice week Andreas
Sorry if there was confusion Nodoji.... Someone posted here in this journal that sometimes it was hard to go back and find things due to the length of the journal . They suggested maybe starting a new thread for certian things, like trade patterns. I have no problem putting the patterns right here, I was just trying to get some feedback on where it would be easist for the ones who have been following, to looks over the patterns. ok... 2 votes in..patterns will be placed here tonight...lol
Geez,I've just examned some of the stocks you've mentionned,on their daily charts.I see your point....For example,RIMM is in downtrend and has already formed a pullback,or corrective bar, which you intend to short,if it triggers of course.... 3 questions please, although they will maybe be answered by your tonight setup patterns: 1. Reffering to the daily chart,do you have an exact definition for a "trend" and its direction,or you depend upon your visual judgement? 2.The same question for the "pullback".Do you have an exact definition? 3.Regarding Rimm, for example.I know that you'll be watching an intraday 5-min chart.Do you intend to short the low of the daily bar,if it triggers,or you'll be searching for a similar pullback in the intraday chart, regrdless of the violation of the daily bar's low. Thanks in advance Andreas
