_Why do we even need the insurance companies?

  1. This is what they've been conditioned by the talking heads to avoid recognizing. If corruption is a snake then the head of the snake is corporations since they've been siphoning taxpayer dollars to themselves, esp. wallstreet, by lobbying legislation
that creates favorable regulations or simply doesn't regulate the ones on the books. The right is only now caring about it since its a democrat who seems to not be able to get anything done any other way its so entrenched.

  2. A stunning display of naivety, and that's giving you the benefit of the doubt.

The fact is natioanl healthcare works in every other industrialized country in the world. That really screws with your fox news concept of reality dont it?
I never hear old farts complaining about how terrible medicare is or how bad the VA is.Those are socilaized and govt run. They are much better than hmo's.
You cant refute that so you stick your head in the sand.

How old are you?Do you even have health coverage? If so,who pays for it.What is your moronic obsession with the govt not being able to do anything right? You live in a democratic country with laws and a national infrastructure run by govt and that functions pretty well.It was the private sector that just wiped out our financial, housing, banking system.

  4. Anyone else notice that the mutton head GOP types have no response to the example of socialism, single payer that works, i.e. the Veteran's administration?

hee hee, only a dedicated Marxist @sshole could ignore the fact that Medicare started losing money in 2008, before the economic crisis.. and it's covering only a fraction of the population and on target to bankrupt the USA!!

I'm curious, in your thinking should illegals have to come to the USA to suck money out of us or should we just be sending it to them? There are differing opinions between Marxists and I just wonder where you fall on that one.....

I'd say that overall, people that agree with you 1) are a small fraction of the voters 2) read "Rules for Radicals" over and over...

  6. Yep, those greedy scumbags in the private sector played a part, but you seem to suggest that government had no role at all, when in fact they were the major player in our economic demise. To ignore that obvious fact is naive to the point of absolute stupidity, or you share the views of the radical left. Which is it...comrade?

  8. Remember Natasha Richardson, she hit her head skiing in Quebec and spent the night in a hospital in Montreal then was flown to a hospital in NYC the next day. She was in critical condition when she made the flight. Gee, I wonder why they flew her to a hospital in NYC if the healthcare in Canada is so freaking great.

  10. He thinks it's absolutely hilarious how everyone becomes a life long health care expert once health care comes into the limelight of the political theater.

He also thinks that while universal coverage in the United States is an admirable goal, it isn't really suitable for the United States in it's current condition. The United States already pays more per capita on health care than Canada, Sweden, even France. Do you honestly think that number will decrease once universal coverage is applied? He assures you that you are fucked in the head if you do.

Ahhnold can do reps of 450 no problem, but just because he can do it unfortunately doesn't mean everyone else can. France, Sweden, and Canada deliver fantastic universal medical care via a government administrated entity. Unfortunately just because they do does not mean the United States can. The United States government is notoriously wasteful, corrupt, and inefficient as compared to other nations which successfully facilitate this model of health care. If we try to bench press 450, or if the United States tries to implement such a plan, it will be a miserable disaster.
