Well I was really looking for the "how" they go about this. Do they send someone to Asia and then go through the immigration process? Do the asians apply from overseas and than get recruited? Can you explain how the process works?

  5. This is not uncommon for all sorts of major corporations to hire illegals or foreigners with work visas. We have an Amazon warehouse and a Walmart distribution center....all of em have tons of non americans who can't speak a word of english working there.

About 80% of the needed qualification of a good hire for these jobs is if the employee will show up for work.

Your comment says more about Americans than it does about immigrants.

It ain't racist, it's just incredibly blunt :p

Fact is, immigration has caused a lot of problems, not because of immigration however, but because of the expansion of government and the benefits it provides for no work.

  8. Well, I was on unemployment for a total of 3 weeks before I found some contract to buffer my income until my lease expires. But I'm making about 2/3 what I used to; however, the number of hours I'm working are halved. So, in a way, I feel like I've won because I didn't like the 40 hour grind.

But, in my case, $385+$25 (federal supplement) just doesn't cut it. I doubt these people really want to be on unemployment. But, at the same time, I think a lot of it has to do with people getting on job listing web sites, and then finding out there's a lot of stuff they just flat out do not want to do.
