911 was our fault: Ron Paul

Discussion in 'Politics' started by RCG Trader, Jan 15, 2012.

  1. For the record, I am an adherent to non intervention policies. We tend to make every fight our fight. And now we are out of money.

That said, I have said I wish Paul was more of a politician. Some have disagreed. Chris Matthews zinged him on CR65 and here Bill O'Reilly basically get him to say 911 was our fault.

9/11 was our fault - no way in hell it happened without some within our government knowing - and helping to see it through.

I am glad to her a citizen congressmen tell the reality - so rare these days - no "politispeak" please - just the cold hard truth is what I want.

Fifteen of the 9/11 hijackers obtained their visas in Saudi Arabia. Michael Springman, the former head of the American visa bureau in Jeddah, has stated that since 1987 the CIA had been illicitly issuing visas to unqualified applicants from the Middle East and bringing them to the US for training in terrorism for the Afghan war in collaboration with Bin Laden (BBC, November 6 2001). It seems this operation continued after the Afghan war for other purposes. It is also reported that five of the hijackers received training at secure US military installations in the 1990s (Newsweek, September 15 2001). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp7jD72VwKY

Specifically, it was YOUR fault, RCG. Bin Laden noticed this liberal black guy in Peoria posting all this leftist jibberish on ET and decided to attack NY to get your attention. Ron Paul has the records to prove this.

The perps did say that their reason for executing 9/11 was the continuing presence of American troops on Saudi soil. On the face of it, no real reason to disbelieve. Now, do we have a right to have troops on Saudi soil? There's the discussion.

Were we invited/allowed by their government?

Probably. And the governance of their country is questioned. You yourself question our country's governance now, and perhaps you consider illegal immigration to be a foreign country's "foothold" here, so imagine if our government invited/allowed another country to build a base occupied with their armed soldiers here. There's probably a few who would heartily object, wouldn't you be one of them?

  10. Ut oh, again, maybe. We may agree on this. Our unilateral involvement in other countries is still a bit weird. I understand that some believe we were somehow responsible for not getting involved in WW2 sooner, I can see that. But this never ending effort to make every tribe in the world follow our example, or at least 'an' example from one sidr or the other.

I prefer to keep our Nation strong, our young people/military alive and well, to protect ourselves, not fight tribal wars.
