You presume much. Actually, it's more of a plan to get the unemployed back to work. And just how does that "good and invisible tax" thingy work??
Ron paul is not going to win as he has already been seen as a kook. It is not what I think but what the majority of Americans think. We must face reality. Actually Jon huntsman is probably the most presidential looking of them all, a technocrat, ambassador to both China and Singapore, well respected in Asia, and speaks fluent mandarin, but again he is not going to win. The only 2 questions you can ask yourself is this: Are you definitely voting for Obama in 2012? If yes, then the debate is over, there is no point in discussing anybody's policies. IF no, then you have to ask yourself, Who is best positioned to defeat Obama? America will vote along racial lines AGAIN, there is no point in denying this. We know that as evidenced by OWS, white youth will once again turn out for Obama irregardless of the economy. The ONLY way a republican candidate can win is by splitting the black vote. Right now, the African american vote is the king maker in American politics and CAIN is the only one who can capture 30-40% of the black vote.
the reps didnt want to win last election, they ran mccain and palin, they didnt have a chance anyway after bush, but they would like to lay the worst economy in 50 years at the dem doorstep,so again they will put up a lame candidate,in the background, just to keep the machine in tact, they will make sure that ron paul or any other non dem/rep doesnt get in,last election they filed 300 frivolous lawsuits against ralph nader, exhausting his small campaign fund in legal bills..edit ron paul doesnt have the media remote control at his fingertips...cant remember his name ,the short guy from texas that they ran out, threatened to shame his family publicly
I don't judge anybody by the way they look but my personal opinion is that if the Republican party wants to win this next election, they will need to run a white, Christian man. Options: Romney Dr. Paul Perry *I strongly prefer DR. Paul.
I'm going to say that Dr. Paul is not going to win. I'm going to explain why too because I'm a libertarian and his platform is so radical that even I was like "guffaw". His purpose to challenge the thinking and not to get elected. If he wanted to get elected he'd choose a moderate platform and have a chance. But he won't which is a shame because we could use a stronger libertarian base. The point is that ideologically I agree with him. I even voted for him. However, his recent stuff is so radical that I'd be honestly concerned for him to win.
This might be a more rational alternative: http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=13769 Have part of the social security tax go into a private account if you want; this'd be great. Then have a flat tax at 15%. This can be very doable but cutting out all the fat in the federal government, little deductions, and strong economic growth. Ireland and Hong Kong have something similar. And this'll avoid Cain's new sales tax and his vat like business income tax.
