Those who put down the 9-9-9 plan are usually the ones who have no economic experience and several failed ventures under their belt. Herman Cain was once one down from Ben Bernanke. Herman Cain made profitable two unprofitable ventures. By the age of 35, Herman Cain was an executive. Before you put down the 9-9-9 plan under the veil of the internet, lets see your resume and lets hear your financial experience. I want to see just who are the people putting down the plan. Im not saying the 9-9-9 plan would work, but I am saying it is worthy of serious study and consideration...serious study by economic experts and I dont mean the failed economic experts of the Obama administration or any of those Harvard economists who have been 100% wrong all the time.
post your credentials so I may determine if your opinion is worthy of consideration. I don't want to agree with some peon who graduated from a second rate school.
Some years back... can't recall whether it was before China took over for Britain... but Hong Kong was rated as "most prosperous, most capitalistic"... with a 15% flat tax. For that, they got fire, police, roads, sewers, trash and city services... no "social support". "15% TAX RATE.. AND KNOCK YOURSELF OUT!" Long time ago, that was America too. We need more of that now. 9-9-9 is such a plan. We need tax and regulatory policies such that busiess WANT TO DO BUSINESS IN THE US.. AND HIRE AMERICAN WORKERS. What we have now is REPULSING business... And things are NEVER going to get better, regardless of the next election, so long as we stay on this path.
The biggest problem we have now is we have a situation where almost 50% of the voter population are paying ZERO federal income taxes. Some are even GETTING PAID from the government (tax credit) even though they haven't paid anything in to start with. And you have Obama trying to bring in a bunch more illegal aliens to backup the Democrat vote in an attempt to get it to where 55-60% of people pay nothing in. So, what's happening is you have Democrats attempting to "buy votes" by selling class warfare to the entitlement mentality crowd - and it is always appealing to vote for the "other guy" to pay more taxes if you don't think it affects you personally. Obama's goal is to make sure we have enough "poor people" and entitlement dependent voters to ensure a Democratic lock on the process. We saw 2 years of that from 2008-2010 and look at the effect on the deficit and the national debt. If Obama wins another term and gets a Democrat Congress, there will be a US default and everyone loses big time. The other problem is most of the Republicans are still acting like we have plenty of time to gradually right the ship. Well it's time for some drastic action, and Romney ain't gonna cut it. Cain is not perfect and 9-9-9 may not survive in its purest form, but we have to get people back to working for their own prosperity and not leaching off the government. Corporate reform is needed as well to ensure that the prosperity is not just sent overseas or pocketed by executives but is properly distributed down the employment chain. Cain is at least moving in the right direction. I don't see anyone else out there even close to what we need except for Cain and Ron Paul in the financial area. Paul is a lunatic concerning foreign policy, though. That is his main downfall.
I am not expecting anyone to post their credentials, however, I do expect an open minded discussion. I would also expect for serious consideration of any plan which Herman Cain puts forward. The man has proven himself in business and, like I said before, was one step down from Bernanke at some point. Your profane remarks about the plan without any fact or basis are ignorant statements. My expectation is these profane remarks are coming from a man who has very little knowledge of the world and not much experience in the business arena.
What exactly in the business arena would make one an expert on taxes?? I doubt they would understand multipliers, the marginal propensity to consume/save and other variables that should be taken into consideration when formulating a tax code that doesn't destroy the middle and lower classes and also the normal consumption/investing levels.
Why? I thought he ran his last company into the ground. Apart from that, how does running a business make one qualified to expound on tax policy?
What would happen with the state sales tax? Would people still have to pay that on top of the 9%? I live in DE so it wouldn't be a big deal but in NJ and NY it would be pretty painful. If the House communicated through a message board anonymously I bet more shit would get done.
Please explain how he ran Godfathers into the ground? Quite the opposite. He turned around a bankrupt company. Another poster with false information. Please dont infect this forum with lies against a man who represents the American dream. What does Obama represent? Castros dream?
