  2. CL dropped to 115.15 on the news, then rebounded to 116.25 before peeling back off to new morning lows around 11:30AM EST. at $112.60

The funny thing is, is that the OIH is still slightly green and these stocks are so heavily shorted that they are still up nicely on the day. Any slight "uptick" in CL causes the drillers to go crazy!

  3. the reaction and news not surprising, directly on the heels of a well-timed, (and well-trumpeted) GS super-'duper' oil going to the moon call.

  4. 08/20/2008 11:41 *DJ State Dept: US Warships Carrying Relief Supplies To Georgia

Im sure Bush and Cheney can drum up some action in that energy rich area to help some buddies out.

  5. Aloha can i just ask if you are oil full time oil traders??
    Or just spectators??

I trade oil full time, and so would like to chat to other oil traders as it gets very dull and lonely during the day between 11am t 12.30pm.. lol

I have a free chatroom that your all welcome to pop by at anytime during the day... ;)

  7. Crude is making a massive move down on heavy volume.

A build this large dictates a rational response.

If it breaks and closes below 112, I will be one happy SOB.

  9. Massive volume? Um.. it's people rolling over from Sept to October contract the past 2 days.

Watch the September contract volume drop the past 2 days. That's explains why the October contract surged.
