But you didn't, you quoted the part that suits your narrative. This is the actual headline from NBC "CDC finds first handful of U.S. omicron cases have been mostly mild" And the details "The first handful of omicron cases in the United States have been mostly mild, with most patients reporting symptoms such as cough or a runny nose, according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention." "More than three-quarters were fully vaccinated, including a third who had also received a booster shot. Six cases had a previously documented Covid infection. A third of the people had recently traveled internationally, according to the CDC study." ---------------- https://www.nbcnews.com/health/heal...s-first-handful-cases-us-mostly-mild-rcna8352 You framed it in a way to make it sound like only the vaccinated are getting ill from it, its a very common tactic, you can see this kind of tweet screenshots on r/conspiracy where they like to pretend that vaccine is the Great Satan.
We don't know how it acts on the unvaccinated, that's yet to be seen and the sample size is small. Also, another variant can't be ruled out.
But I didn’t, Lester Holt did not report what you posted. I don’t have a link to the broadcast but he simply stated Omicron had been reported in 25 states, most of the cases were fully vaccinated. My jaw hit the floor. You can get all pissy, that’s your problem. I simply stated what I heard, no ulterior, no bias. Get over it. Edit here’s the link cue in about the 6:30 mark “CDC, Omicron in 25 states, reports first cases were mild and overwhelming among the vaccinated” He then goes on about NY and a winter surge.
Given that vaccination is required to travel and those who are moving around are getting the new variant and the total number of cases is not even three digits, why is your jaw hitting the floor for something so banal? Obviously those who are vaccinated will travel and catch the new variant, its not the feature of the vaccine but of the person moving around.
My jaw hit the floor because he told the truth even when it went against the “official narrative”. Sad you’re under the belief that the vaccine will not protect you traveling.
sensationalizing a circumstance not the truth makes. You can blame the vaccinated for bringing Omicron into the country if you're still witch hunting though.
The evening news is meticulously scripted to promote a specific narrative. To quote a statistic without an outlier to support the narrative as Holt did was unusual. It’s fun to watch you guys in damage control.
oh please, the media overplays the spookiness of COVID ALL the time, Holt's no different here omitting details.
Well, that’s the point. I’d expect Holt/NBC to overplay a point painting Covid as spooky, the need to get vaxxed. It was out of character. In the grand scheme of things it’s nada, I was just surprised to see Holt report it the way he did.
What official narrative? Vaccine doesn't prevent infection, leads to asymptomatic or mild symptoms - most don't even know they are infected. This is breaking news only in the MAGA world who are spreading all sorts of bullshit about vaccines and then dying with tubes in their mouth.
