"Remember as of today 75% of those catching Omicron are fully vaccinated."

BULLSHIAT --- that's not what they are see in South Africa at all. Which at this point has a large data set.

"Forty-three people in 19 states have tested positive for omicron, according to remarks made to the Associated Press by Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 75% of those cases are in people who are fully vaccinated, and one person has been hospitalized. One-third of those individuals had traveled internationally; one-third had received a booster. The cases so far have been “mild,” she said. "

ATLANTA (AP) — More than 40 people in the U.S. have been found to be infected with the omicron variant so far, and more than three-quarters of them had been vaccinated, the chief of the CDC said Wednesday. But she said nearly all of them were only mildly ill.

You're too stupid that's got to impact your life expectancy more then anything. Might be why Americans live 3 years less then Canadians. Certainly almost 4 times as many Covid deaths isn't going to help that stat. Watch and learn if you live long enough to find out Covid vaccines don't hurt immune systems but death from Covid was certainly fatal and Long Covid is a thing.

I can't believe we are almost two years into this, the dats is very clear now, yet dumbasses like you and John E.M. are still posting absolute ignorance about Covid. You guys are fucking ignorant.

Nothing wrong with natural "immunity', jem, other than what you do to yourself and to society to acquire it.

Maybe you have a logical point about what you do to society?

Can you tell me the point of vaccinating the low risk?

    Please consider:

    a. the vaccinated can still get infected and spread.
    b. mutations are likely to come out of the immuno-compromised and they are by definition high risk.
    c. many of the low risk are asymptomatic and therefore far less likely to spread.
    d. its the highly symptomatic who are the biggest spreaders.

    e. how many low risk Americans who have not been vaccinated are left that have not been exposed to Covid.

    f. as of now would you not prefer to face omicron with strong immune system that already naturally fought off Covid? I know many articles and scientists have just said that Omicron is going to bypass antibodies (notwithstanding what pfizer said yesterday) so you best have a strong natural immune system. With respect to pfizer we just saw the CDC tell us that 1/3 of the infected had boosters.

So in a lab boosted sera may have had enough neutralizing antibodies, according to Pfizer. But, it remains to be seen how long and how well boosters protect people in real life. I am sure glad that this virus has been mild so far.

I hope we all get useful data as this goes forward so we can make the best choices for family, friends and community.

Since you quoted me, I responded. I am not jem.

Sociopaths don't really care what happens to society other then if their medical insurance rates go up. Taking away their jobs or jacking up their insurance rates if they aren't vaccinated probably has some effectiveness though. If someone he knew died from Covid, and it wasn't one of his kids, he'd just say they were somehow medically weak and hence "high risk". Not recognizing of course that he's the very definition of high risk with Delta.

Read these forums. The point of vaccinating the lower risk individuals has already been adequately described and discussed. Let's not lose sight of error in describing some cohort as "low risk". What seems like a low risk cohort today can become moderate, or higher, risk tomorrow. Many examples.
