8 port video card

  1. Guys, if you buy an NVIDIA NVS 280 card, make sure the manufacturer of the card supports the DVI resolution you require - if you require this. For example, the LEADTEK NVS280 card only does 1280x1024 over DVI.

The ones made by Dell and HP do support DVI over 1600x1200. Don't know about PNY, I think it might do.

Of course, this all depends if DVI vs Analog is an issue for you. I can see a difference since some of my screens run at 1600x1200. For 1280x1024 it is very difficult to tell the difference.

I don't wish to start a rant with regards to DVI vs Analog. Just making sure people here are aware of this potential issue (I'd suggest you read the specs on the online manuals for any dual head card you are lookiing into).

FWIW, I run 2 HP NVS-280 cards on some machines, they have been great.

    Cheers, EQ.
