Yeah or that...although there is a lot of progress and advancement made in controlling the symptoms of dementia or any diseases now than ever before and the guy's a billionaire so he will be getting the best of the best of the best in medical attention with like teams of doctors swarming around him; he would be able to not just participate in the latest clinical trial of any new drugs/treatments, he would be able to open up brand new clinical trials just for himself. There was a guy that I saw in a thread on ET about who's just a millionaire and he was able to have a team of 30 doctors swarming around him for him to have a body of an 18-year-old.

Robin Williams was different. Robin Williams was having a bit of financial trouble having to pay hefty alimonies to both of his ex's; his newest show got canceled (I didn't even know about it) and the guy was dealing with depression. This guy is healthy with no mention of physical or psychological disease, still on top of his games with no money trouble as far as we know and all of sudden he goes to his office and pops his head? Something does not add up...

And if that's the case it shows how primitive America is when it comes to end of life choices.

78 is pretty old, he has probably seen it all. Maybe he just got a cancer diagnosis. Maybe he was depressed. Lots of reasons. He wanted to go out his way, I respect that.

I said "or some such things". Could be something more exotic, could be that "who wants treatment at 78 anyway?"

Williams had Lewy body dementia; one of the more exotic ones, if I'm not mistaken. Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia this year

Canada catching some flak over their expansion of options to include infants w/some painful disease recently. Fox was all over it as if any of those scumbags would ever hug a baby with harlequin ichthyosis

We all ASSUME first of all that the cause is really him ending his own life and two that it's because of a serious health issue for which he has non-existent dignified end-of-life options.

I like the odds of my "old man wants off this realm like so many others (probably declining health)" over your "billionaire maybe died by nefarious means because money".

From where I sit, it's like why not stick around and see what happens next.
The hits just keep on coming.
How would one feel if they died on Sept 10th 2001?

I've been very open with my family that at any sign of mental degeneration I'm flying to Europe to die in a dignifying way. I consider 80 to be my expiration year unless I feel perfectly fine physically and mentally, in which case I'll extend beyond.
