How do you know he wasn’t yelling “Alluh Akbar” as he hacked the woman? There’s so little details being released it’s like a deliberate news blackout. That is my point behind this thread. Try to keep up
Wow, nope never heard of that story. But notice the in depth details, descriptions, what was in his bag, wallet, etc? They mention ties to groups, PDF files etc. Why is it that after days the only thing we know about the attempted murderer in VT is his name? Where is his backstory? Why did he attack an elderly volunteer woman with a machete? These details seem to be overlooked when it doesn’t fit the liberal media narrative (Islamic terrorism) but throw a crazy white dude on a train and they write pages about his racist ties.
Should the news services have mentioned everything else he didn't say? How do you know he didn't say, "I am doing this because I love Trump!" There are many crimes committed in the USA. You are singling out one only because it's a muslim perpetrator (and only because it's a muslim perpetrator).
The train incident is clearly an attempted hate crime. There is nothing to suggest this incident is a hate crime other than the fact that the perpetrator is Muslim (and in your world view all Muslims are terrorists).
Perhaps because that incident occurred last October whereas the corresponding link to that story is much more recent. I imagine that details tend to get filled in over time and not all at once. Oh, and it's a bigger story because it happened on the national passenger railroad service, which many people use, and would have resulted in many casualties had the perp not been apprehended in time. Even so, it did not get the kind of coverage that you seem to expect for the machete story. Media conspiracy? I don't think so.
I don't have any information but my guess is that he is native born. He looks like he is Somali to me so he might be a child of the earlier refugee settlements. So I am somewhat of a moderate on this issue. He might be mentally ill and that should not be used to hammer a population because every group suffers from it. At the same time, people are being killed in this country by people who have questionable immigration status and the some of them are here legally due to questionable policies. It is okay to talk about that and be outraged and to modify immigration policy if needed- and no that does not make you a racist.
