The table below compares the White House's February 2009 projection of the number of jobs that would be created by the 2009 stimulus law (through the end of 2010) with the actual change in state payroll employment through September 2009 (the latest figures available). According to the data, 49 States and the District of Columbia have lost jobs since stimulus was enacted. Only North Dakota has seen net job creation following the February 2009 stimulus. While President Obama claimed the result of his stimulus bill would be the creation of 3.5 million jobs, the Nation has already lost a total of 2.7 million – a difference of 6.2 million jobs. To see how stimulus has failed your state, see the table below.

You left out all the millions of jobs Obama says he's "SAVED".
    Man, get with the program!:p

  5. The stock market is up and that is all that counts?

    LOL..

Stock Market is now below 10,000 party line....on light light volume the rally was based. VIX is at 20,,,,This is a Watch Signal. Things happen when the vix is in the lower ranges....I don't think it will get to the teens, 20 is a signal to watch for a move.

49 outa 50 states lost more jobs. Hummm.....so who is dumping money into the market? John Q public?

Let see, the only other time in history that Oil, gold and the markets rallyed as they are, together...while the dollar was getting hammered....Um you guys guess the year.. I'm to lazy to post that date.

This is one of the biggest sucker rallies in the history of the market. Or course, shorting into this is not the idea.

Just wait in a very calm manor. Like a Lion watching its prey.

There is gona be a time to jump in Balls to the Wall Short...Just gota wait for that crack, that one signal to show reversal.

    It's not here yet.

Anyone who has not moved their money outa the US STOCK market to par their losses from Last year is a Motley Fool.

This bad economy is like a huge freeway traffic jam that is residual, still bottlenecked long after the accident has been cleared... if everybody would just step on the gas at the same time, then everybody could go...

Responding to criticism that the Obama administration's $787 billion in stimulus spending hasn't done enough to boost employment, House
    Yet another worthless idea.

Okay so now they are trying to pass another program to offer $3000 tax credit to businesses who hire new employees.

What is going on, businesses near me have either shut down or layed off a few employees, what kind of employer of a small business is going to run out to hire new employees just to get a damn $3000 tax credit. It's cheaper for the small business owner not to hire new employees in this economy. This is not going to fix anything. If any kind of business wants to at least float by this recession the best bet is to keep from hiring new employees for a pathitc $3000 tax credit.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told CNBC Wednesday that the recovery package passed in January has created or saved one million jobs, and without it, the economy would be in much worse shape.

She did say, however, that more needs to be done.

"It's not enough to say we saved jobs, and we haven't created enough," she said.

As a result, the administration is considering short-term initiatives to help businesses boost hiring, such as a $3,000 tax credit for adding new employees, Pelosi said.

You have to give it to these Democrats (slick lawyers and marketing experts).....

You realize that the science is starting to catch up with "global warming" and that the earth might actaully be cooling...........so you change the term to "CLIMATE CHANGE".

You know your stimulus isn't going to create shit for jobs, but you still want to spend the money so that you can pay off the people that helped get you elected and bring a bunch of money back to your districts for re-election so you say "CREATED OR SAVED" knowing full well that that is impossible to prove or disprove.

They are the masters of wiggle room, gray areas and not painting yourself into a corner for political reasons.
