noah's ark is said to have had at least 35,000 individual animals on it--INCLUDING DINOSAURS!!!!! hahahah and there were only 8 people on the boat feeding the animals for 371 days!!!!! lol if all this isn't ridiculous enough, the size of the ark was 45 feet tall, 75 feet wide, and 450 feet long. how the hell did he get 35,000+ animals, including dinosaurs on that? I WANT AN ANSWER.....NOW. lol from some religious site: oh yeah, not at all!
I hear the old cowboy Noah hired to help roundup the animals brought in 12 armadillos because he had trouble sexing them and wasn't sure if he had one of each. He also brought in 2 elks, 2 moose, and a couple of Free Masons.
Another question. Why all the anger and resentment against a God who doesn't exist? I don't hate and curse unicorns.
Well I would guess because this is not an idle debate.. unless you ignore history and the present... religion and god have been.. and are... the name in which countless people have perished.. if you pay attention you would notice that there is a war without end under way that involves some maniacs who believe in a god against others who also believe in a god.. and this is not new nor different from struggles that have raged during all of written history.. people with strong beliefs tend to kill others who do not agree.. if only they had noticed that this is actually the 21st century now and perhaps a new method of dispute might be entertained.. ?? obviously I do not suggest there is any equal blame attached to us who are under attack.. but there is nothing new in this.. its historical and true to say that religious wars have been one of the prime causes of death throughout history.. religion often gives an excuse and a longevity to disputes and bigotry... such as in northern ireland... those people are the SAME! whatever they say! I know really! but religion has enabled a false sense of difference to last for many a long year... maybe now.. after much talk.. they are finally realising their similarities.. who cares anyway? not many I guess... but in essence I think that people should be free to believe in any god and worship as they please.. just do not kill me or my family in the name of that god
Neil - I agree with your statement. But my question, mainly to the atheists, is still how can you hate and curse a God whom you claim doesn't exist. All of the anger, resentment , and attacks don't seem to be aimed at unicorns which they feel are as mythical.
That is a fair point Doubter.... but again I would guess that some are annoyed at the effect on the world of a belief in god ...as opposed to a belief in unicorns.. who seem to have played no particular role in reducing the quality of life thus far... I am not so sure that there is hatred against a god that is doubted.. so much as those who proclaim their actions are at the behest of their god.. I think it comes down to the way people use their beliefs.. I am an atheist, and that is an opinion reached after a fair exposure to religion.. but then again I love and am married to a devout catholic who accepts my disbelief and constant ridicule and yet amazingly still loves me despite that... that I think is a good thing.. surely there is hope yet??
Neil - Your points are right on. There can be anger and hatred at people who do exist and act on their beliefs but surely not at a "non-existent" God. Hats off to your wife for her patience and love for you. You had better hold on tight to her. She sounds like a good one.
