  1. Hogwash! Inflation isn't the cure to ANYTHING! What appears as an "inflation cure" is just an analgesic which results in a greater pain somewhere/sometime else.

"The US needs a lot of inflation to cure it's headache. I believe it will play out like 20% for a couple of years followed by a year or two of 100%... You can flesh out that scenario for yourself..."

your cure is the voodoo economics of the peronists and every left wing dictatorship in south america in the 80's and 90's.
where does your dribble come from?
do u have any idea what inflation does to the middle class.
the cure is a hard currency. with a hard currency people can conduct
without trying to game the system because of currency manipulations.

Actually seeing the 40% depreciation in USD values vrs other currencies in last 10 years tells us that 'slow devaluation' is the strategy adopted to clean out the debt.

There is no other alternative available that would NOT create chaos and riots on the streets.

US preaches 'shock thearpy' on other nations regarding economic and political issues but chooses 'slow surgery' for its own. Might is Right I guess but only in the short run.

no other alternative? how about letting the freemarkets determine prices and create an equilibrum and then let the economy move on?

no wonder the US is sliding towards becoming a 3rd world shithole.

No it's not. Food, housing, and health care are not human rights, as they can only be guaranteed by stealing them (or the money to pay for them) from somebody else. The Constitution wisely only enumerates rights that do not require that the government act as a thief.

  10. Basically capitalism got exported to China where there are people willing to work hard. We imported socialism thru illegal immigration and glamorizing of lazy European entitlement lifestyles. Whatever political and economic system merely reflects the personality of it's people.
