60 Minutes Story on Corporate Taxes

  1. That's all part of this conquer and divide strategy. The small business, the sole proprietor are left to themselves in this scrap heap, piece of shit economy.

  2. Why are these corporations not treated like US citizens and required to report and pay taxes on all income world wide.

If they have any operations registered or based in the US they should be required to register, file taxes on and report all income world wide.

If they are a foreign corporation not wanting to subject themselves to US laws and taxes then contract a US manufacturer representatives.

  3. How about eliminate corporate taxes and tax all income and dividends and gain on sale of these stocks as ordinary income. And so the wealthy don't get a free pass on owning stock and passing it down at death, tax inheritance as ordinary income.

  4. They are well within the law to move it all overseas. I really don't give a shit anymore what they do. Just don't tell me the economy is collapsing and the budget is through the roof because some guy on a f'n production line is making too much money and has a decent benefit package. We all know who is responsible and when the whole tent comes crashing down, those that brought the tent down will be watching from a distance. If you're part of their Entourage, good for you. We all die in the end anyway, so what does it really matter?

  5. That sort of flight is similar to what happens everytime a company leaves a community in the lurch over local tax environment. Its Dutch Auction extortion -- a paint ball match using competition to hide behind. The only jobs created are the ones lost in the abandoned community. On the national level, don't expect
government contracts if you're going to leave America and expect
a tariff, designed just for you. We should reward the players that
stay with the team. Whose Market to access is it anyway?

Its right there in the name, Multi National Corporations, they're the "One World Government" boogeyman that Alex Jones and the religious right seem to not hold to that conspiracy.

  10. Mav, small government does not mean a licence to do whatever you want. Small government is a license to do as much as you can with your personal life without government interference. The line gets drawn when what you do with your life interferes with the lives of others.

It is really not a hard concept.
