    Congrats !
Yes you can reset Step 2 for a fee.
Exactly, if you break a rule on a Pro then you can go back to step 2.
Whereas if you mess up a funded account then you have to go back to step 1.
But you can't keep a Pro account for ever. Once 5K reached they move you into funded.

You better go with a Pro account.
You also have the option to move whenever you wan to a funded account (if PnL < 5k).

You can not reset a pro account.
They downgrade you to Step 2.

No. Neither for the funded or the pro account.
No monthly billing anymore. Pro is basically free.
But once you move funded then you got costs to pay for.

May I know why you choose Topsteptrader instead of Earn2trade Mini Gauntlet?

I believe that Earn2trade take a 20% cut on the first 5k profit withdrawn
Vs 0% for TST on the first 5k profit withdrawn.

I remember that everything else is about equal.

Earn2trade Mini Gauntlet has no step 2 as far as I know.

E2T only 1 stage, but much harder to build the initial account as they withdraw every month on realized profit. Pro data fees sooner. Better taxes.
TST has 2 stages, so your price is doubled, but they make it easier to build the account when funded; better commissions, first 5k 100% yours, and they only take their cut when you do. Worse taxes, however.

If your goal is to reach a certain point and withdraw for your own account, TST is better. If you are looking to remain in a prop system for the long-term, E2T probably better.

  8. That's correct, but it's not Earn2Trade that takes the cut. Helios Trading Partners takes 20% from the beginning because it's business model is to actually make money on the traders who trade for it, and not just to get money from Earn2Trade for Gauntlet Mini fees.

Nice points. I prefer Earn2trade mini gauntlet over TST because it doesn't have step 2 and weekly loss limit. But now TST has one advantage which is Pro account but it is limited to how fast you pass both step 1 and 2. If you can pass both steps in a month, then TST. Else, mini gauntlet.

Sekiyo, sorry if you feel hijacked. Please continue.

    No worries buddy,
The journal is here to help everyone.
And it’s TST, E2T, related so you’re in line with it.
