  3. I don't do much canned fish, but - for sure. There are some amazing varieties out there, especially from northwestern Europe. Latvia has the best smoked sprats ever...

    There's also the ones in can, should be identical but cheaper. If you like that then you might also try marinated herring with spices.

  7. They are; the jarred version is more of a pretty present sort of thing.

    I actually like herring a lot, but more the Russian version than the Euro one. The spice mix in the latter is a bit odd for me.
