http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/more-dismal-poll-numbers-obama-gop-debt-crisis-131137433.html All told, 57 percent of all Americans disapprove of Obama's handling of the economy, compared to 67 percent who disapprove of the congressional GOP. Asked about the handling of the federal deficit, 60 percent said they didn't approve of Obama's approach to the crisis, compared to 68 percent who disapprove of GOP lawmakers.
Talk about slanted polling: question 3: 3. Do you approve or disapprove of the way the Republicans in Congress are handling [ITEM]? Followup question concerning the Democrats in Congress? Wait, there is no similar question asked! Check out question 14: 14. Thinking about the economic challenges facing the country would you say the actions taken by the [ITEM] made things better, made things worse, or had no effect? (IF BETTER or WORSE) Would that be much better/worse or somewhat better/worse? your choices: Obama Administration, Bush Administration, Republican Congress. Where's the Dem Congress option? Last I checked, they were the party in charge of Congress when this country plunged into this economic situation. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/polls/postabcpoll_071711.html Washington Post/ABC is about as unbiased as is Rasmussen.
"âWhat Iâve realized is it doesnât matter if youâre Republican or Democrat anymore,â said Joey Wakim, 21, a used car salesman from Allentown, Pa. âWe just want somebody whoâs gonna get things right.â Get things right for who, Joey?
Good point. We are having to deal with complex issues now that don't lend themselves to bumper sticker solutions. Ordinary voters often lack the foundation to even have an educated opinion. It's like polling them to determine whether a new drug should be approved by the FDA. How would they have any idea? The parties attempt to resonate with them using radically different approaches. Obama has one argument, class envy or increasingly, class hatred. According to him, the failure of the "rich" to pay their "fair share" of taxes is responsible for all our problems. Republicans play the responsibility card. It's irresponsible to runup so much debt. Left unsaid is why they they let Bush do it. Frankly, I find Obama's approach to be reprehensible. He appeals to the lowest aspects of the human spirit: envy, resentment and spite. Even when he wins, we all lose as a country. He imagines himself to be Robin Hood, when in reality he acts like our king, wanting to seize ever more of our property. Robin Hood wasn't running a socialist government. He took from noblemen who oppressed the serfs. Obama's constituency of government workers, union members, welfare recipients and various activists are not victims. In truth, they are a large part of the reason we are in this mess.
What a coincidence that's the same number of states Obama claimed to have visited during his campaign.
