What do you make of this:

"On August 4, 2011, CBOE submitted a rule filing proposing to eliminate the need to formally file a waiver request for the appropriate category of registration if the individual Trading Permit Holder or individual associated person maintains a registration in a designated registration category"

What do you think they mean when they say "maintains"? Does that mean your 7 has to be current?

Has anyone in my situation gotten a waiver? I had a 7 for over 10 years. A little more than two years ago I switched to a CBOE firm. Since at the time the CBOE did not require a test, it would not let my firm hold my 7 which expired in June. So fare I have not heard back yet but was wondering if others in my situation got a waiver.
