  2. moved stop to 9683 to my original buy point. Dont like strong run in AUDUSD towards close but i am not out yet. Want to see pass 0.98 before considering loading more.

Glad I clarified for you. Science is all about predictability. From initial conditions X that you can measure you will get Y % of time this and that. Unfortunately trading does not work like that as hedge funds with all these phd's realised during GFC run. Once you in the market you are target. You can quote heisenberg principle of quantum mechanics but this is just putting lipstick on a pigs face :D

  3. Reached second target usdcad 0.9850 or so. Feel bad for what propelled me to profits and what made my call working.

Hope it does not turn out real bad.

Now will start looking for further strength in usdcad. Will add other markets ie sell equity indexex, etf's etc.

Earthquake may be trigger but weaknesses are structural and will persist even if nuke accidents turn out to be less damaging than feared.

This could well be my 4th winning call in a raw. Call clearly scalable, any size you want.
And will not post in this thread any longer. Moderator, please close.

    Take care.

  4. thread not closed so here we go.

Did not post for a while because it detracts from scoring properly.

Had 1 minor loss and last one, nice buy in lnkd around 62. Quick 33% this week. Also had 3 unfilled trades.

I question now whether my entries should sometimes be more agressive - at market.

I need access to ETF's traded in US as bet size increased. Do not trust broker's cfd's. They work nicely when one is losing.

Any recommendations for broker for US stocks/etf's for AUS based trader ? I am swing/position trading only.

This is what works for me.

    1. Send in a Foot soldier. See if it makes a small win.
    2. IF step 1 successfull. Give it a pounding ( ;) )
    3. Start taking halves off as it moves ahead.
PS. any supprize moves in your direction - Take it all.

  7. hi jokepie, thanks, will investigate ib.

I see what you mean with your steps. mine are not all that different.

Last one, as i was positive in lnkd, got buy signal for stock markets on monday morning, got in but screwed up, exit way too early

scared of size i guess. Hope will get better.

  8. Have progressed my account with 2 trades. One slight loss, other win. On top of that 3 unfilled trades. Next trade will be the biggest risk so far.

gone thru past trades and unfilled orders and will adjust the following :

    1. More agressive entry (at market) when entering on market open. Stat supports that approach.

    2. After initial sucessfull entry, add to the position up to the limit. Once I do it and take win should be easier to do.

    3. Buy strongest markets, sell weakest markets.

    See how we go.

  9. i actually had 2 wins not one in 3 mth period :

    - loss 0.2 risk - time stop - au stock
    - win 1.5 risk - adus
    - win 3 risk - lnkd & doubling up position in spi index exited b/e
    - audjpy b/e time stop

    3 misses
audusd for 1 tick - would be max 2 risks ahead
ASX SPI would be max 1.5 risk ahead
euraud would be max 4 risks although still going

Will update with the next trade as it happens.
