Hey everyone lighten up on him a little. If hes got $500 to start with then that is enough considering that will cover his margin money on the contract he trades. I started trading about 2 years ago with $3000. My account is worth many times more than that now but it didn't get that way by not knowing what the hell I was doing. I worked my ass off to learn the markets inside and out (granted I still have much much much more to learn). I studied fundamentals and technicals all night long and poured over commitment of traders reports trying to find a way to get ahead in this business. The point is $500 dollars is enough to start with but you better know your stuff! This business will eat you alive if you come in here half assing things. IMO go for it and give it a try and if it doesn't work the amount of experiance you will gain will be huge! Good Luck
