To me it is possible when you have a capital of $50k. Then this amount can be achieved in a single day but again you are risking this amount and must not loss more than this in a single day.
Yes, it's possible. I know someone who is making that much and could be making even more if he cared, but he is a man of many interests, so money is not all he cares about. His account is at least 100K if I am not mistaken. You need money to make money.

Well, judging by the feedback ( more like pissing and moaning ) here on ET the past few years - clearly it has gotten much more difficult to scalp markets in the "traditional sense" manually using a point-and-click mouse and the DOM order ticket at higher frequency rates. It's all about timeframes - even for day traders.
