Obongo and the democraps have fucked up our health care system beyond recognition for most of us, in an effort to cater to a few. With the possible exception of preexisting conditions, they haven't solved a single problem with our original system and worse created many more problems to boot. In typical big government tradition.
CNN's Carol Costello accused insurance companies of "preying on the most vulnerable people" in dropping doctors from health plans, even after CNN interviewed a doctor and an insurance representative saying that ObamaCare regulations made it harder for companies to keep doctors on insurance plans. One problem .. those who have legitimate pre-existing conditions I have empathy for. Those who chose to develop such conditions I have no sympathy for. Perfect example ... I've been to Outback Steakhouse twice in my life .. sister & brother in law took me there once for my birthday and after a good friend's mothers funeral a group of 15 went there. Last night we went a 3rd time .. someone gave my wife a gift card. She ate healthy, avocado & crab appetizer and a salad w/ salmon. I had a burger & fries. Seated in a booth next to us was 3 people .. when they were seated I thought the woman would not be able to get into the booth .. she had to be pushing 300 lbs. Her husband was a svelte 275. One of their parents was maybe 250 or so. 3 Obese people. What did they order .. appetizer was a bloomin onion roll as they scarfed a bunch of bread. These are the POS we are subsidizing .. people who pig out, never exercise and have their hands out for their subsidies.
(CNSNews.com) - "Even as the economy creates jobs, too many Americans find themselves on the sidelines watching as the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the middle class are getting squeezed and squeezed," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said on Thursday. "There is no greater challenge this country has than income inequality. And we must do something about it," he told a news conference on Capitol Hill. His solution is to keep giving taxpayer money to people who are out of work: "There are lots of things that should be done, but the first thing is to make sure that those people who are waiting and waiting to find a job still get the important check that they deserve. Unemployment compensation is something that is good for the economy."... - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/sus...gethan-income-inequality#sthash.zdps173i.dpuf

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert (R) announced Thursday that his state will expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. "Doing nothing ... I've taken off the table," Herbert said, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. "Doing nothing is not an option." Herbert pointed to the 60,000 individuals in the state who will gain coverage under the state's expansion of the program, saying it's "not fair" to leave them without a solution. The state's legislative leaders have endorsed two potential routes to expansion. Herbert said Thursday that he will decide next week which strategy to take. The Tribune reports that lawmakers have "edged closer" to the plan in place in Arkansas. ABC News offered details on that plan: Last week, it became the first state approved by the Obama administration to use federal money for the purchase of private insurance plans by certain Medicaid participants. Rather than simply expanding the Medicaid program, Arkansas can use federal money to buy private health plan coverage through the stateâs new insurance exchange for adults with incomes up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/23/utah-medicaid-expansion_n_4654407.html ********************************************************************************************* Luke . . . as more states join in, healthcare might just become cheaper for you..
