$5.9 billion a month habit

  1. I was talking in the context of the sacrifices he has made on be-half of America. also physical pain is not the only pain -> half the country thinks he is evil - if 140million people hate you -> do you think you would feel some personal pain or shame?

All things vital come at a cost, America was fought for and has to be fought for to stay on top. no pain no gain.

That was just propaganda intended to close the sale.

Kind of like the cooked intelligence that got us thinking about war in the first place.

Oh yea, so they didn't have those nukes. oh well. fuck it. We're here now!

Indeed. Indeed. Indeed!!! Ever hear of the military industrial complex? Aka 'special interest groups'?

Although, I beg to differ about the piss poor state of veteran affairs.

Clearly. CLEARLY. If they have hundreds of billions to piss away in Iraq -- im hearing the word trillions being tossed around, of late -- then they've got MORE THAN THEY'LL EVER NEED to take care of the veterans.

You just don't want to see the truth. They don't give a damn about the veterans. Its all lip service.

Plan B was not going in because the weighted intel simply didn't support it.

And if we did go in regardless, plan b called for a massive occupation force to quell the near certain resistance and possibly subsequent civil war. Which is now just beginning to erupt.

    Plan b was totally ignored.

But its been one helluva ride!! BOOM!!

haha. Maybe. Who knows. And who cares??

Just as long as we've got more wars queued for the sheeple and corporate america feasting, we're good, right?

  5. do you think Bush could tell America in blunt terms why they are going there, they need to hear fear, so give em fear.

do you stop for a moment, and think that some vets are willing to give up part of their pocket money to the young men and women serving the country? or is loyalty and patriosm something you do not understand or believe in?

The cost of the war? how can you put a cost on America's future wellbeing? America is rich and they use this to their advantage.

whenever the government or a corporation does something in its own interest, which believe it or not, is usually in the best interests of the country -> people start whining about how their riggin things in their favour -> well DER! would you if you were running the country or a corporation. ive got a trading system that takes money from other stock market participants does that make me a evil-doer?

the USA government acts in its own interest believe or not and the more fit they are the more fit the citizen is.

p.s. ZZZzzz -> the name of the thread is $5.9 billion a day -> shouldnt that be $5.9Billion a MONTH?

  6. Yes, I suggested to a moderator that they correct the thread title to 5.9 a month.

Are you willing to include the long term costs though in what it is costing us?

A leading economist projected that long term costs will increase the real cost dramatically.

However, since you are making an argument that is really not about cost, but what you think is a necessary benefit, does it matter if it is 5.9 billion a day or a month?

"...whenever the government or a corporation does something in its own interest, which believe it or not, is usually in the best interests of the country."

That statement is about as false as it gets.

They vote to sell all their oil to China.

  8. It will cost what it will cost so long as they can afford it.

governments/corporations are power/profit motivated the more power/profit the more jobs/taxs the more jobs/taxs the higher the standard of living which believe or not america has one of the highest standard of living even more so when you exclude foreigners from low social/economic classes.

  9. first of all who is "they" you mean the USA puppet in Iraq don't you?

and i don't ever see China wanting to piss USA off since they are china's biggest customer. the USA isn't snubbing too hard at the weak yuan either thus letting china have 'a bit as to sorta join hands going forward.

  10. Total BS about corporations.

They keep their money offshore to avoid taxes, outsource jobs, pollute the earth, care nothing for human rights.
