It's nice to see that you learned to not listen to other people so early on in your career.

Listening to other people has cost me $100s of thousands in both losses and opportunity cost.

It think that percentages don't really mean a thing. You have been making money because markets are volatile and that is good for trading. I love this volatility. It has been amazing, and has put money into my account too.

When the volatility dies, you have to be prepared to not make as much or you have to change your strategy completely.

 

Yeah Spanish. Shorted the oil a few times and also threw a short on the pound/yen.

Just trading the same old way. Looking for a bit of a spike to short on the oil each time etc. Sometimes just using small time frames.

Be back later - off out to buy some new football boots lol. Old ones finally 'gave in' over the weekend!

I used to listen to what some traders from t2w used to say about 7 t 9 months ago when i 1st started trading,
But other people do is give you crap advice on purpose for a joke, give you advice but not tell you the whole explanation, or give you tips that then fail and are wrong. lol

Like when they kept telling me to close all my sell trades on oil when i was selling back in teh 140s (my stoplosses at 156-176), trade $1 t $2s down, they kept saying stuff liek when trichet speaks about euro its gna blast eeuro.usd through 1.6, oil through 150, and you will lose all your money....

So i took alot of big losses like that cos of them, however pricks who was especially fx scalper decided it would be fun to tell me all that fundamental stuff, but not exlain to me, who was just a young newbie back then, about the whole thing of 'news being priced into the market already'!!! :eek:

Lost me alot of money back then..

But even though hes convinced himself that hes a great experienced trader, all the guy is is a pure gambler (calls it scalping), by making 100s bets per day and just hoing that more of those will win than lose!





And well done jacker!


Im now at £215 profit for the day (no open trades), well apart from my hbos long!

And so im extremely happy with that, as i went from being down -£266 after my 1st 2 trades, which was seriously demoralising, to going back out and earning £481 profit from then on!!


Im now thinking of a £2 long from 71.52 area, but not sure i will unless we start to see another shorts squeeze like last month!! hehe

K made my trade at 71.56

Like normal oil crashes agaisnt me 15secs later... lol


BUt now is back up and ive made a chart to shw what my targets are + teh triple bottom formed....

 

GRRRR!!!


I only made £58 from it cos i bailed out early at 71.92, when if id have left it with my preset level at 72.32 itd have been a perfect take and £80 more!!

And then lost £16 on another chasing long.


Now waiting for shorting time

 

Ooooh thats me done for the day!!

That last 15mins shorts squeeze was sooo beautiful, even if i did miss an £80! lol

I still managed to take £384 lovely tax free profit for today, £168 coming in those last 16mins.


So its a very nice way to start the 1st day of this november contract for me.


How much you took of that jacker???

You managed to get on the right side of the oil number jacker??


I sold at £3 tick as soon as i heard 3million vs 2.6 expected and saw dip, got filled at 67.87, best i saw was a quick dip down to 67.55, but then it rocketed back up and now just doing its sideways stuff again.

So i took a loss of £210 at 68.52, which im not happy about.


Oils is such an annoying nightmare to itrda-day trade with scalps!!

 

FUCK!!!

If id gambled and just left it on id have gone back into £50 profit, instead of taking stupid loss.

Ive now just bought oil £3 tick from 67.94, stoploss at 64.93, cos this is just getting fuking ridiculous now!!


If you look at the chart we have basically just slid in a non-stop straightline, and so there will be bounce no matter how much everyone who is still selling hates it!!
