on second though, i just did the calculation for the percentage-change from trough to peak (from 2/19 to 3/26) for both CL and RB and both moved right up 37.5%, where HO was only 30% and started the move up much later. so RB and CL are much more correlated than i thought. trying a short here short 48.53 stop 48.78
I am short at 48.30 , planning to hold 40 to 50 cents gain . I wanted to short more at 48.70 levels , as stated in my post above down side chance is high till tomorrow EIA stock pile report ( which is expected to be bearish )
if we break support at 47.80, i may hold on for a couple days because a bearish report is gonna send crude way down. finally.
http://www.marketwatch.com/news/sto...C5-217C-4B79-B255-999E530D085B}&dist=hplatest The EIA reported last week that crude inventories in the U.S., the biggest oil consumer, rose to 356.6 million barrels in the week ended March 20, the highest level in nearly 16 years. James Williams, an analyst at WTRG Economics, said oil should be trading below $35 a barrel given the current demand, supply fundamentals. "There is little, if any, fundamental data that justifies the price increases over the last few weeks," said he said. Some analysts pointed out that gains in stock markets have helped oil's rally. The S&P 500 index has risen more than 8% so far this month, although it's fallen more than 10% in the quarter. In Tuesday's trading, U.S. stocks moved broadly higher, following gains in Asia and European stocks. "We said last week that the prior increase above $50 was largely driven by the financial markets and sentiment, based on hopes that demand would pick up again later on in the year," said analysts at Commerzbank. "From a short-term perspective, though, the fundamentals remain difficult, meaning that oil prices were vulnerable to setbacks as witnessed right now," they said. For last week's petroleum inventories, the analysts surveyed by Platts also expect a decline in gasoline stocks of 1.8 million barrels as well as a decrease of 1.4 million barrels in distillate supplies. The EIA will release its closely watched data on petroleum supplies at 10:30 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday. The American Petroleum Institute will release a separate report on Tuesday afternoon.
Aloha guys, everyone seems to have done well today nabbing a few 50-60ticks profit moves by selling... Im feeling very gutted now about missing out on this move, since the lastime i made my sell trader oil was in the 53s. And its just unlucky that i made the trade on the day when i didnt have normal 1k+ capital to have been able to hold as it floated offside for the afternoon before crashing down 6x as much as it would have gone against me. But not long now till i get the money into my bank so i can upload it back into my trading account... But ive been so rushed off my feet today anyays though as i launched a new business, and its doing extremely well. *I did that hedgefund test btw and its quite annoying tbh, as its from this comany called SHLsolutions, and they said there would be a practise question. So i thought ok thats good, will freshen up the old brain as i havent used my brain for years now! lol Since to making money trading you only need to use your eyes, not brain, which is what i do and it works fine . But so i did the 1st question, was really complex ad i sent about 8mins doing it, but then the next 14 were abit less hard, even though they were seriously seriously hard stuff as it said it was PhD level maths, and was 'problem solving' style. :/ But i did ok as i took my time working them out correctly, took 49minutes doing all 15, but it said i got 80.6% correct! I almost fell off my sofa when i saw that, since what teh fuk do i know about PhD maths??!! LOL Im a crude oil trade who spend 98% of my time just staring at the screen waiting for a pattern, clicks a button, then clicks another button a few mins later to cash in. End of story Thats all ive done day in day out for over a year now, and so that the highest extent my brain gets to normally.
But the test didnt lie and it said 80.6% correct. And so i went and opened my bottle of rose wine and drunk all it while dancung around my flat celebrating that i was a maths genius without even trying. HOWEVER It then said click the next button, so i did, and it then said teh fuking practise test was over and now they rotate to the other 15question which i will be marked on!! What kjinda of a fucking test gets you to do 15 practises???!! I mean fair enough giving 1, maybe even 3, but 15 practise questions???!!! (I later foundout that they have 30questions overall, and they just randomly select 15 for practise and then the remaining 15 are the marked ones). But so by this time i was all tanked up on wine, my brain was exhausted from doing so much educational work for a change without even getting paid for it, and so then next 15questions i just totally fucked up! :/ Lol The 1st i found very hard n so took about 5mins doing, but i only had 30mins to do the test and there was a stupid clock that kept ticking down to put me off! And so after the 1st one i raced through the next 8questions as they were easy, but then the next 2 were really tedious 1s and were pissing me off, and i saw i only had 5mins left to do the next 5, so i just got fedup n bored and so i answered the last 5 in abot 30seconds by just clicking random answers. (It was muliple choice and there were 4choices, so 25% chance that i got it right, + i did look at teh question for 10seconds and so didnt click an answer number that was to big or too small, choose the medium sizes to be safe.) SO i very very much doubt i will have passed the test, but at the end of the day if they want me it should be for the double digit weekly % returns i have and still consistently return form whatever account size my trades go in from! Not because they expect i will turn into some kinda of nerdy techo maths boffin geek who will do algebra for them for fun during my lunch breaks or anything like that!! Lol And hopefully the business that i launched today will keep faring well, especially if as the weather gets better as summer comes.
LOL Good stuff spanish. What business you starting up mate? Some really good trading in here recently guys. Ive been concentrating on my ES trading but i do keep an eye on this thread. Im up about $300 (£200 or so?) today, which is excellent for me. I've had quite a few really good days in a row now, and am just enjoying it whilst it lasts!
