Your first few posts on ET were about how you took positions not bets. All we've seen since is you being shaken out of potentially profitable positions. Sort yourself out.

I wonder how long will it take you to figure out how to trade the news?

Good journal though. Easily the most entertaining thing on ET. I can't wait for the next episode. Good luck.

    lol.
I have losing days. In fact I think I lost on Monday, and today would have been a losing day if the spx dropped by a few more pips to hit my stop. I Dont have losing weeks though! :)

  6. How you avoid them, while at the same time using tight stops always though??

You trade off breakout spikes as entries?

Im in an oil short from 102.24, using a nice giant stoploss up in the 120s where i know the market cant come catch me.. lol
And a target level of 100.92

What you think of that trade though??
You see oil down for ''another'' day tomorrow??

about 50% of my trades are 'system' trades all generated from an excel spreadsheet. Took me about 4 years to design it but I am pleased with it.

Other trades are chart based. Sometimes, as you suggest - 'breakout trades'. Sometimes reversal pattern trades. Some of my trades are even 'indicator based' (although only a tiny percentage.)

What do I think of your trade?....no comment :)

  8. How you intergrate a spread sheet 'trading system' into a brokerage platform??

And how can you create something like that, when you dont know where the spikes and crashes will be??

Fancy sharing it with me though?? lol

And come on mate, you think oil wit hit 101 before hitting 123, before 19th september?? :)

I trade of eur/usd in the background always too, so just hope tomorrows another year low.. lol

  9. I think that's a margin call not a stoploss.

Great movement on the ftse today. Made 50% of my account today...

I have been looking at oil recently and I cannot fathom it really so Ive stayed away.

Spanish, do you not think of perhaps looking at something else to trade that behaves slightly more logically?

Glad you recovered some of your losses but jeez 7k credit card debt when you have a few grand to your name?
