  2. No I'm for minimizing government to the point that it would be useless for big business to corrupt. Before we had big government, we had very little big business. Yet, we still had safe food, medicine, etc as per the level of medical and technological development of the era. There weren't companies buying out politicians to create barriers to entry to various industries via an endless series of approvals and permits etc. Many big businesses only become big, and sometimes avoid dissolution BECAUSE they are able to buy out big government... However, if big government did not exist, it couldn't be bought out. Therefore, in the absence of big government, we'd have far less big business, and far more small/mid sized business... Wealth would be more evenly distributed. You are foolish if you think that big government will not end up being corrupted. What you think you are going to find the perfect person, who appoints the perfect administration? Even if these imaginary people DID exist, what about the next term, and the next term??? Once you accept that the nature of power is to corrupt, and that human nature will ultimately prevail, either quickly or gradually, you must accept that limited government is the only viable solution.

Big government has wrecked europe and is in the process of wrecking the USA. The only nations in the world which are experiencing unprecedented growth, or any growth at all for that matter, are nations which are transitioning from heavily regulated policies to more free policies (hong kong, singapore, china, etc)

  4. How has giving welfare to freeloaders who can't support themselves worked out so far? Not well. Over $11 trillion down the drain and now we have an underclass of losers demanding wealth redistribution.

Let people support themselves or fail. Then maybe we wouldn't have scum like you and some of the other libtard oxygen thieves on this board.

  5. What is it exactly that you guys have against medicare? I mean, I can understand if you guys, out of some altruistic sentiment, wanted to provide healthcare to those who could not afford health insurance, but need it. But those who can afford it, and simply don't purchase it, and spend money elsewhere... Why is it you want them covered too? Why is it that you want very wealthy people who can purchase their own healthcare to be covered???

Of course we know that when they DO purchase their own healthcare and get better/quicker care that you guys will be whining and bitching about how they don't deserve better care simply because they can buy it, and how poor people should be able to get the same quality of care as rich people, but that's another argument...

  6. Let them earn it or go without. We don't need any more lowlifes who can't fend for themselves. Just look at the libtards here on ET. Exactly what we don't need more of.

  8. Don't flatter yourself... he didn't address you or make a reference to you specifically in his post. I know your narcissism is bad, but it shouldn't be so bad that it impairs your ability to read...

  9. What are you talking about? AIG, TARP? Why give a dime to any corporate entity that can simply be dissolved and liquidated when they fail? These are artificial entities created for the sole purpose of shielding personal liabilities and distributing profits to its shareholders.

Why are we giving out welfare in the form of tax breaks, bail outs, earmarks, subsidies to the richer classes?

How about removing the ability to cut deals for corporations, void all no bid military contracts... invalidate settlements for crimes they may have committed? Charge them for bribery for any cash paid to any political party... These are deals that individuals are not entitled to receive yet your crying about welfare for real people?

Look at GM... 50B welfare check, govt investment so they can expand overseas?
