Alaska is one of the biggest welfare states in the country. Palin mailed people doing nothing for it money from the pockets of oil companies. What is she supposed to do with the money? The fact is they are rolling in cash due to oil, so I see nothing wrong with sending the money back to the people, as long as you have the cash to do it. The problem is that the Liberal states want to send checks, free health care, college tutition to their constituents, ONLY THEY DON'T HAVE THE CASH TO DO IT! There is a big difference.
