A forever widening gap even though it's been talked about for decades that they are trying to close it. Will never happen.

Elon musk brings more to the table than all of the worlds mediocrity combined. Soon their labor wont even be needed as machines replace men...dwindling what little value to the market place they had to begin with.

It depends on what you mean by "bring more to the table".

If by that you mean some kind of humanistic, individual "worth", some kind of personal qualities, kindness, integrity, even intelligence, that kind of stuff - yes.

If by that you mean contribution to the progress of humanity, you're probably wrong. It is hard to measure, true, which is why I said probably.

would you say the same for the Walton kids?
    Or Abigail Johnson of fidelity?

they all worth tens of billions of dollars each.

What about John Kerry who is worth a billion dollars because he married someone who was married to a Heinz heir.

If Elon’s value is Elon (and not his creation that is Tesla) why wasn’t he worth 100 billion 10 years ago? Or even 1 year ago?

  5. When people think that the wealth of a nation or the top "percenters" automatically trickles down, they forget that these people don't just randomly give away money to those in need... they give to charities and then the individual would have to fall into some "class" targeted by that charity to receive a benefit

and using the logic in the OP’s article and your posts: you haven’t explained why a mexican auto worker is worth less than one in Alabama or a unionized one in Michigan.

And how did he go from 20 billion to 200 billion in one or 2 years? Think that through. What was added to Humanity?

  9. Fanboy complex. Sure, believe whatever you want. Elon Musk focuses on a completely sub-optimal collection of problems of this world. Of course, it is profit-maximizing to him but certainly does that not make him more valuable than half the world population. Are you seriously saying that Elon Musk poses more impact than Mother Theresa who held not a single penny of her own? Then you should get out of your state and travel more, or perhaps read more.

  10. What value did Musk bring to the progress of humanity? Care to share A SINGLE one? There are dozens of EV companies, they would have existed with or without Tesla. The development of EV is very loosely linked to Musk or Tesla. If you don't believe me then perhaps study how all the other companies derived their IP. They did not steal it (in most cases) from Tesla. Then there is a lot of research in hydrogen-powered cars. Then hybrid cars existed already when little Elon still shitted his diapers.
