this seems to indicate that it is churches that foster the ignorance. a nation can not compete on the world stage of ideas if so many of its people are so stupid. 40 Percent Of Americans Still Believe In Creationism.A new Gallup poll, released Dec. 17, reveals that 40 percent of Americans still believe that humans were created by God within the last 10,000 years. "Views on human origins vary based on church attendance. Of those who attend church on a weekly basis, 60 percent believe in creationism while a mere 2 percent subscribe to "secular evolution".
Who is going to administer the funds, the federal government? That translates to what, 40% waste? Besides most our kids, religious or not, don't care about science anyway. They care more about TV and video games.
You must not travel much. We can compete just fine on the world stage because the other actors up there are similarly and commonly even more "stupid".
