  1. Well, you are a lot smarter than me. I will go back and forth with posters here until I am red in the face. It's my problem. I know it sucks being put on ignore because destriero and wrbtrader have me on ignore. Destriero, he just likes the do that and then make shitty remarks behind others backs. Unfortunately I got into it with wrbtrader. I like that guy. He's smart. I like his trading. But I pissed him off. I don't blame him for putting me on ignore. But I do not like the fact he is talking about me behind my back. I do not intend to do that with the 20+ posters I put on ignore. It's for my own piece of mind. I talk from the right, and when I do, a whole gob of posters attack and then I get stupid and say whatever I can to fight back, even when my posts are not cool. :(

That's because you have one nick.

With two or more nicks, you can block everyone that mopped the floor with you during debates with your main nick; while still engaging them with your other nicks, as you try to improve your debate skills ... and/or change political leanings ... from far right, to center, for example. :D

  3. Did I understand that the Chinese are making fakes of cars? If that is true all I can say is "Wow". :D

It's funny you mention that. Dest and I have nothing in common in trading, not really. He's on the option side, I'm on future side...And he's way ahead of me on the earnings curve, because he's a smart cookie. Sarcastic as hell, but hey, that's the way it may happen sometimes.

He put me on ignore a couple of times through the years, and I eventually came out of it. I do not know if he made sarcastic comments about me "behind my back" when I was on his ignore list, and I don't give a shit if he did. Sticks and stones. For now, I can read his comments when he posts them, and I am grateful for it.

I am grateful to be able to read everyone's comments who allow it. Ignore sucks! :-(

I've been around the online BBS block enough times to know that no situation is not salvageable. If you take a damned breath, sit back and muse upon a bit o life, you'll find your answer. First step? Stop placing blame. Get rid of it.

Focus on the here and now, and not on the past. Stop getting "stupid and say whatever you can to fight back".

Words matter and all that. The fact that you feel regret for getting into it with wrb is a good sign. It means you have a conscience. That's a +1 for Gryffendore, hehe. Learn to lighten up and listen to what people have to say from an objective POV, rather than your own subjective view.

  5. Destriero is really smart. I used to trade options a long time ago. I liked it but never became really good at it. I too like trading futures. I used to trade Nasdaq stocks a long time ago, then QQQ, then off to NQ and ES with a few stops with ER2 which is now TF of course.

I spend some time just lurking before logging into ET and that is when I see posts from posters that have me on ignore. It's too bad this ignore thing doesn't work when we are not logged in. :banghead:

One reason I put everyone on ignore when I was done being banned was because of being ashamed. I know a lot of posters do not like me for my past posts. I feel like that will be my legacy with a lot of them. :(

I really like ET, I have been here for a really long time. Being banned freaked me out. I am so glad Baron let me come back. :)

I am musing a lot about the situation.

And yes, words do matter. A lot. I don't want to fight with people here. I don't like it. I am doing my best to be more careful with my posts and the threads I start.

Then you do not understand the point of the ignore function.

I suddenly think that I can get paid money to teach a college course on how to interact online. Dude, don't visit your favorite forum anonymously to see what people "are saying about you" before you log on with your user ID to then stew about what you cannot reply to, from the people who are ignoring you. It is nonsensical.

I am going to figure out a video analogy for this. Hmmm....

  8. I didn't say I log in to see what other idiots say about me. I log in to read threads before making my mind up to log in, that's all. You read too much into my post.

I do not think I do. An ancilliary benefit of logging in anonymously is to see what people are saying "about you".

Why log in anonymously to read threads before logging in to read threads with your user ID? *shakes head*

Was a good convo, FT. I hope I gave you some insights. Maybe you can get back to being a non-partisan contributor! Forget right-wing, left-wing etc. Work on getting those 20+ folks you have on ignore, off!

    There's always dancing!

Yeah, see, I wholly disagree with that strategy. Nu uh. You have a conviction, you stick with it, and argue it. You do not tuck tail and run to another nick when the kitchen gets too hot. That's just wimpy BS, man.
