What is your source for him being on a business visa? The story all along was that he had a diplomatic passport, at least that was my understanding. It is unfortunate that this brave man's life may be forfeited by obama, but at least it shows the true nature of our Pakistani "allies", as well as our weak president. I have little doubt the billions they get from US taxpayers, most of which is no doubt funnelled into politicians' dubai bank accounts, will be cut to zero very soon.
The latest news I see just says he was working for the CIA but with the diplomatic contingent. Nothing about a business visa. Obama continues to show how weak and inept he is. http://www.businessweek.com/news/20...-in-pakistan-is-said-to-work-for-the-cia.html
The last wimp did nothing to nip this problem in the bud and our UK wimps are doing nothing either. Don't hold your breath for a final solution.
http://www.dawn.com/2011/01/31/arrested-us-national-does-not-have-diplomatic-visa-documents.html DawnNews has received exclusive documents that show that US national Raymond Davis, arrested for the Killing of two Pakistanis, does not have a diplomatic visa. Meanwhile, DawnNews said on Sunday that the passport of Davis showed that his name was Raymond Alan Davis and he did not have diplomatic visa but he came to Pakistan on an official/business visa. According to the passport, he had visited the country nine times and his last Pakistani visa was issued in June last year for two years. Earlier, the US government claimed that Raymond Davis was not the real name of the accused but refused to say what his name was. One statement issued by the US embassy described the accused as a staff member of the US Consulate General in Lahore, while another said he was a staff member of the US embassy in Islamabad. And yet another statement issued on Sunday said he was a member of the technical staff of the embassy. Diplomatic sources in Islamabad said that Raymond Davis had first received a three-month diplomatic visa on a diplomatic passport on request of the US State Department in September 2009. That is the only visa issued to him by the Pakistan embassy in Washington. On that occasion, the State Department had said Davis would be visiting Pakistan for a short term as a technical adviser. Subsequently, Davis received extensions to his visa in Islamabad or elsewhere. His presence in Pakistan after the expiry of his first visa in December 2009 was neither known to nor authorised by the Pakistan embassy in Washington or the Foreign Office. US Raymond Davis holds business visa http://www.epakistannews.com/us-raymond-davis-holds-business-visa.html US national Raymond Davis, who shot two persons to death in Lahore on Thursday, does not enjoy diplomatic immunity as he entered the country on business visa, Punjabâs Deputy Prosecutor General Rana Bakhtiar said on Sunday.
These are Pakistani news sources. I would hold the details of their stories suspect until corroborated by a U.S. media outlet.
They have 24 hours to release all hostages. After that the bombing begins and the hostages are sacrificed. If we can't make these tough decisions we might as well surrender now.
