  1. Well......It's time to face some immutable truths....trading on the NYSE is never, ever going to come back and conditions will continue to get worse every hour of everyday.......fare well.....looks like it's time to mosey on over to the CME.

Truly pathetic for NYSE. 1 billion traded today, during what is the beggining of EARNINGS season. Last week, which was a holiday week, had 20-30% better volume each day.
Thank god for the REITs or I would have been in the hole badly from the specialist screw I got in the morning.

I am extremely dissapointed and worried that this foreshadowing of how bad trading will be during April's earnings.

Need to become 100% electronic like the NAS...

Trading from home is the game now, soon the commission houses and NYSE bosses will wake up.

I have 18 guys on my AOL instant messanger who are at hedge funds and banks in NY. Only 5 of them where around today. The volume was low because of the holiday. Nothing more, nothing less.

Glad to hear someone made $ in those things today, they cost me $2k in the first 30 mins of trading...always a fun way to start the week.
