30 year U.S. bond is still a safe?

Are you comfortable holding it 30 years in light of all the things going on with the U.S.?

 

How many times in history has The US Treasury defaulted on it's debt?

 

I am buying Sudanese and Botswanan Govt Debt.

Sold the US paper long ago, don't want to be a bagholder.

 

I just read about new Iraqi Dinar TIPS.
They are just waiting for I.S.E.C. approval.
