That's where I fade out hard. I can do 50 push-ups in 50 seconds and 58-60 in 60 seconds, but then in the final two minutes I'm in the 30-40 range. My muscle endurance is definitely not where it was even just a few years ago when I was still in my 30's. Father Time is undefeated
Wait a minute, let me make sure I have this correct. You are saying you can do pushups basically for 15 minutes straight? I'm not buying that. As others have stated, just holding the damn plank position for a few minutes is brutal and that is without even doing a pushup. I have a hard time believing you can hold that position for 15 minutes straight. I'll try it but i find this very hard to believe.
Mav, don't bother. I banned that big mac guy earlier. He was trolling the hell out of us on another health and fitness thread.
Latest print....126. These are actually starting to get easier. If you guys work at these I think you can really improve your numbers.
126! That's easily the most I've seen/heard from all my gym friends who try this. Well done. Can I ask, how old are you and how much do you weigh? Thanks.
I've heard similar numbers as well, but when I think of the number of pushups I can do then think about doing that many reps on bench press with 55% of my bodyweight, that seems even more challenging. But I've never actually tried it so might be completely wrong.
You just made me weigh myself. Ugh..... I'm clocking in at 175 which I need to drop. I'm about 5'10. Early 40's. I swim about 50 laps a day. I'll probably have to amp that up some.
