According to the review and the manual: Cons: No 64 bit Win drivers yet. http://www.evga.com/products/pdf/100-U2-UV12-A1_Manual.pdf
maybe look at the Samsung LD190G 18.5" or LD220G 21.5" Lapfit Monitors. they have the new usb decoder chipset in them, and they are said to work with Win 98 / ME / 2K / XP / X64 / Vista. They are built to squat next to laptop. top two on the page http://www.displaylink.com/shop.html six usb monitors run fine with no noticeable slow down at all on my 2.4GHz dual core, 3.5GB ram, XP. My video card is a geforce 7500le but my usb monitors dont use it.
X64?! Which OS is it? XP64 or Vista X64? I can't find a link of the manual for one of those monitors. Also decompressing the 56K driver 1.0... there is no ReadMe or other information about OS compatibility...
it would be interesting... but could you please tell me where to find information about Vista x64 support for the Samsung LD220G? The Samsung US site does not provide information for this model while the Quick User Guide and the Manual @ Canadian web site do not specify the support for Vista x64 under the 'Installation Requirements', just a generic 'Windows Vista'.
I donât know where to find it for that specific model, but itâs a display link enabled monitor. Samsung only makes the casing and the screen, they license the software driver and the hardware that decodes the usb signal from displaylink, so you can defer directly to displaylink for supported operating systems. Im sure itâs the same across any displaylink enabled device. http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=160
Ezlink drivers release 4.6.1 should address any issue with Vista x64 SP1; I will keep you posted with the results.
