That is very odd. According to the Financial Data document from the CFTC website, NinjaTrader Clearing LLC has been a clearing FCM as of May of this year. Maybe their agreement with Philips and Dorman were continuing until this week and they couldn't take on clients of their own due to some kind of conflict of interest? I dunno. They are probably afraid to clear trades as their adjusted net capital is really at the low end, just barely higher than 2 of the FCM that had the lowest adjusted net capital if you look at the Financial Data o all the FCM's so if they really start to clear trades, and if something really happens they will be on the hook and it's a huge risk for them.

As for the lifetime license, I still stand by my view that it's not worth it regardless of the volume of trading. The value is just simply not there. All the arguments that you use to push back on what I have been saying are exactly what Ninja Trader used to say to me "My computer is the problem", "It's too slow", "Your hard drive is the problem"...I have heard them all. LOL Everything was working perfectly with NT7 and I was using exactly the same computer and all of sudden, nothing was working in NT8, aside from the changed codes, it's my computer's problem?? LOL Anyway glad you are able to use NT. For me, I was glad that I stopped using NT and I was relieved that I didn't buy the lifetime license otherwise I would've been stuck. After all, my computer was the problem according to NinjaTrader so wouldn't be able to use the lifetime license at all right? LOL

  2. Beats me.

Anyway, thanks for sharing that information.

I'm not saying NT does not have issues. I've clearly said there are issues. Personally, I seem to have solved whatever problems I had which is of importance.

Point is we need to be clear if the issue is with the actual software and not our own hardware. From what I've understood NT is much more computer intensive than Sierra Charts and that's obviously a negative, but it is what it is.

If someone were starting out completely blank I would most definitely recommend them to consider other software, but for me the familiarity with NT is a huge value as I want to spend time focusing on trading and not learning new software.

    Good trading to you. :)

  3. I did by the way open a new account with NinjaTrader Clearing which was opened today and will fund it with a modest sum. Will make sure to report back how it goes.

I should however add that whatever issues or complaints I've had with NT8 I've been a very happy customer with NT / Dorman. Customer support is great, too.

I should add however that customer support at NT is great but only until they realize that the problem is on their side and it's something that they cannot or will not resolve. Then they just pass you from one to another and you have to repeat your story over and over and over again with every single new customer service rep. that answers your inquiry until they just drop you forever leaving you still with your problems unresolved. So I hope people think about that when they are thinking of buying the lifetime license. Once you buy it, you are stuck with them forever until death doth you apart. LOL A lifetime license with NT is like a marriage that you cannot ever have a divorce. You are really in it for LIFE!! Good luck trying to re-sell your lifetime license if you ever want to get rid of it. There are very few takers. By very few, I mean almost none.

    Enjoy your NT!

    Lifetime costs $1,099.
Commission for ES in lifetime is $1,99
Commission for ES in free is $2,69

If you do 785 RT in ES, you pay for the free license $4,223 commission.
If you do 785 RT in ES, you pay for the lifetime license $3,124 commission.

So you save in lifetime license $1,099, which means that you have your lifetime license for FREE. It will cost you NOTHING.
You continue to lie about that without any hard and objective proof.
Buying a lifetime license will cost you only money if you "divorce" before doing 785 RT.

The fact that you are all the time hammering on that fake lifetime license proofs that your only aim is to damage the sales of lifetime licenses from NT.

That's not a possibility of course because everybody trades futures until they reach 785 RT and of course the Ninja Trader software is just so great and perfect that there is no way that someone can find other software to be far better in quality and more competitively priced than NT or simply decide to use their broker's platform before they reach this 785 RT. That's just not possible. LOL

Well we all know what's your aim. ;)
