The Swiss Olympic team chief, Gian Gilli, said Morganella, a member of the football squad, was being stripped of his Olympic accreditation before Switzerland's final group match against Mexico on Wednesday. The Swiss right back was on the losing end of a 2-1 defeat to South Korea at the Olympics on Sunday, and following the loss the Palermo defender had a meltdown on Twitter. After getting riled on the pitch, Morganella let rip on Twitter: I want to beat up all South Koreans! Bunch of mentally handicapped retards! (âJe les tous Defonce Coréens, allez vous tous Bruler, bande de trisosâ)
that is the type of discipline that will send someone over the edge to skin head. why not... sit him for half game or let him know why that type of speech is not expected from a person representing his country. Hell I am sure he would have said he was sorry and it was just something he tweeted while he was heated.
It seems a stretch to call this racist. After the ridiculous dismissal of the Greek woman for at worst, a bad joke, you would think the other athletes would be careful of what they tweet. Neither athlete should have been removed from the Olympics. The greek case clearly had domestic political overtones. This one just seems to be an overreaction.
While certainly not the only reason, I don't even watch the games in part because of this ridiculous over the top political correctness run amok.
Disgusting, just another facet of life ruined by liberal pussification. The games transformation from world-class competition into irrelevant nothingness is almost accomplished. The only step not yet taken to complete the sex change is handing out medals to every loser.
