That video/documentary is Golden...compared to learning, and getting inspired, by your typical, average, bright, fake, hyped up, Millennial/Gen-Z, Social Media trader Personality.
By the way, TradingView is quite good. Impressed by it, but so used to eSignal. I pulled up an NG chart. Even looking at it, gives me PTSD, from when I traded it. Hopefully, wabu deleted it...
That's a lotta' ticks in 5 trading days. Hey Chip, imagine being short 7 contracts on that move. Hubba hubba.
I rather not; that's the stuff of nightmares. Especially, being fully impaled to death, in that single bar, on the 8th, and then have it double the range against you. Brutality. This is why I threw in the towel in NG, back in 2017. Another bad experience was Soybean Meal (ZM). That's also out of my life, permanently. So, please people, be very, very careful with NG (and ZM)...
Care to elaborate? What was the issue? Too volatile for your trading style? I've heard others on the forum praise it as a good trading instrument, but personally I have no experience with it. What futures do you trade then?
@Laissez Faire Yes, too volatile for my trading style. I prefer stock index futures, and I like having a schedule, 9:30am EST-4:00pm EST, when I trade these. @maxinger That was not my experience, when I day-traded NG, 2014-2017. I found it quite volatile (especially around the Thursday morning numbers), and I simply could not read it as well. I just could not connect with the instrument. Maybe @wabu27 has truly connected with NG...
wabu27, Hope all is well in this increasing Covid Delta Variant environment. Last year we lost a few members to Covid. Drop-in and let us know you're Ok. wrbtrader
