250 US scientists, including 11 Nobel laureates defend climate change research

  1. Much of the controversy stems from a lack of scientific understanding on the part of the general public, they say.

"There is always some uncertainty associated with scientific conclusions; science never absolutely proves anything," says the letter.

"When someone says that society should wait until scientists are absolutely certain before taking any action, it is the same as saying society should never take action."

Well-established theories which have not been successfully challenged can be spoken of as facts, they say - and climate change falls into this category. Heat-trapping gases are indeed warming the planet, and most of this increase is due to human activity.

the lack of understanding of scientific method among ET'ers is appalling
  2. Isn't anyone waiting for absolute certainty, just the truth. There is science, and then there is junk science. Junk Science fudges the numbers to make their "theory" work. Climate cultists are the Kings of Junk Science. For those of us that are old enough to remember the 70's we'd all be dead by now had the "theory" of global cooling been correct. We survived that junk theory, so they went to global warming. We survived that junk theory as well. Now the climate just changes. How many PHD's did it take to figure that out?
The climate cultists of the Junk Science world get an "A" for playing politics and an "F" for producing any actual science.
  3. here is a good layman site but you have to be interested in knowledge before it is usefull. most on et are not.
  4. 250 US scientists, including 11 Nobel laureates say this is NOT junk science...you know smthg they don't? i doubt it, i'd put serious money on it :D
  5. Limbaugh and Beck are going to get us all killed. Err on the side of caution not mutants.
