Doesn't list the French missippi company. At one point the market cap of the company was higher than the value of all the real estate in France. Only ever had a tiny number of employees too. I suspect that "in history" is not really the case.
More interesting would be the largest percentage of market cap drop in a day. The dollar amount is impressive until you look at the companies market cap.
Use to work for a subcontractor of Worldcom...I still have (use) my Worldcom wrist rest!! Lucent was one of my biggest losers...Defined benefits!!! I can't remember fully, but I believe over the years I made money on; Dupont, Sprint, Uber, Kraft, and I bought Wells Fargo after they took over Wachovia.
