Call it whatever you want to call it. And regardless of what you call it; It is what it is.

Trump’s demand to Mexico: Keep migrants or suffer tariffs

Trump says the US has ‘indefinitely suspended’ planned tariffs against Mexico after reaching a deal

  3. Yes, that is exactly what I said, I said how it IS. The threats worked a treat and now Mexico starts shutting its southern borders. Beautiful. Exactly had the intended effect. Only some on a certain political spectrum hate to hear that. Because it goes against their hope of mayhem and chaos in order to overthrow the administration.

    We disagree.

  5. You disagree with facts? How is that even possible? What do you disagree with?

Threatened tariffs are a fact. That the tariffs would have kicked in Monday starting with 5% is a fact. That Mexico agreed to deploy military at the south Mexican border in order to avoid tariffs is a fact. So which part are you disagreeing with? That democrats are hoping for the administration to implode?

Goodness, it's so tiring to debate and exchange thoughts with people who can never admit when wrong, always are driven by their feelings and emotions even when contradicting facts fly into their face.

I'll try one time to simplify this.

I disagree that Trump intended for the outcome he settled for.

How can we know what Trump intended? We can't with 100% certainty, so I'm not debating facts, only opinions.

The facts are: that Trump didn't accomplish what he said he would (full compliance or tariffs).

He said the initial 5% tariffs were going to happen Monday, period.

He also said that he wanted Mexico to block all immigrants from entering the U.S.

He did not receive those assurances, and he canceled the 5% initial tariffs.

What he did accomplish was Mexico's promise of "strong measures." That's nowhere near what he said. And anyone that knows anything about contract language, knows it's BS, unenforceable language. Trump's people also know it's BS. But it's enough to fool his cult. That's the intent and purpose.

It doesn't bother me if you want to s*** his a**; just stop getting so deranged when others don't want to join you.

  7. Did you even read the agreement? Apparently not. This is why the Democratic party will lose the 2020 elections again, because feelings and emotions is all that counts to them. Trump did clearly relate the tariffs to Mexico stopping the incoming stream of migrants into Mexico and on to the US. Need a link to the official communique? Then Mexico in the official agreement exactly nodded to that and committed to that. As we speak the factual video footage is out there showing its being implemented via the national guard fewer than 24 hours later. I think one can't find a better example of an agreement implemented in a timely fashion.

Is this simple enough for you? The above are facts and you can independently verify each single one of them. Denying facts is generally reserved for deranged people, the choice is obviously yours.

What part did you not understand?

Again, what he got, is not what he said he wanted.

Again, what he got, was a bunch of unenforceable language.

Again, what he did was wiggle out of his own BS because The Republicans opposed it.

Here's the relevant, unenforceable, and BS language used in the 'declaration:'

"both countries recognize the vital importance of rapidly resolving the humanitarian emergency and security situation."

"Governments of the United States and Mexico will work together to immediately implement a durable solution."

"Mexico will take unprecedented steps to increase enforcement to curb irregular migration, to include the deployment of its National Guard throughout Mexico, giving priority to its southern border. "

"This means that those crossing the U.S. Southern Border to seek asylum will be rapidly returned to Mexico where they may await the adjudication of their asylum claims."

This last quote was already the case.

Now can we agree to disagree? Or are you still deranged over this?

  9. I agree with the facts, and those agreements are good enough for me for a start and most others who care about illegal immigration. If the implementation lacks substance then tariffs can immediately be invoked and subsequently raised. That is a million times better than the Obama years of doing nothing about the cause and condition of illegal immigration and just doing a half baked job about the symptoms (aka deportations). If you could separate the character from the actions, performed, you would actually see some of the success stories. Same with the flight ban (which was upheld in Supreme Court) and opposing China's organized theft of intellectual property that has been ignored for years by other administrations. Or should I mention the Supreme Court nominations? All promises that were kept.
