  1. I am holding out a couple more weeks thinking that prices will fall further during Xmas shopping.

  2. Lots of people love rebates. Whatever floats your boat. If you enjoy it, great. Just not for me thanks.

I see them similar to coupons. I don't clip coupons.

If I had the choice of either paying $100 with a $50 rebate, or paying $50 with no rebate, I'd take the rebate deal.... on anything computer related.

Question on the rebates thru NewEgg:

What receipt/invoice do you use for rebate submission? Is the email confirm sufficient or does one need a printed receipt from them? Recently purchased some stuff this week and when item were shipped, there were no invoices included. Only receipts I have for the purchases are the emails.

    Thx.

You can login to your personal account and find your transactions... from which you can print an appropriate receipt.

I have always used the email they sent me as my invoice.

  8. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that they will not let you return an LCD if it has < 8 dead pixels. - - - That's the only thing that bums me out about New Egg.

That could be true but I have never had one screen with even 1 dead pixel from them, however that is not their fault and you would probably have to take that up with the manufacture.
