  1. whatever they predict out of china will never happen. it has never happed in the past millenium. one reason.........china as much as it seems united, it is the most divided nation and it will never be united. only time entire china was united in one came under a mongolian...........and u've heard of his name.

  2. that's just really really wrong. Han dynasty, Ming dynasty,Qing Dynasty among many others were all unified Chinese empires.

btw, you are thinking of Ghenghis khan who did NOT occupy China. Ghenghis khan and Sung dynasty China were actually allies to fight the Jurchens in the north. it was his grandson, KUBLAI KHAN who invaded down south and defeated the Sung dynasty. His elder brother, Mongke Khan was actually killed fighting in China, the only great Khan to have been killed in battle.

  3. Several factors came into play in the last 10-20 years in the US which together contributed to the current malaise...

    -Arrogant politicians, public
    -A "we're #1" attitude
    -Crooked politicians and corporate elite
-way too much "prestige" paid to smart asses out of big universities.
-Too much emphasis on "financial engineering"
    -Lazy, out of shape population
-Too many programs at state & Federal level making these people confortable enough living on food stamps, etc.
-Top 10% of population needs to pay more taxes
-Penalties should be instituted for jobs that are exported overseas.

I could go on & on but there's a huge list of shit that US needs to correct.

    Remember, it begins with YOU!

Only YOU can prevent further demise.

Act today! Put off buying that big screen, Asian car, toy, concentrate juice, plastic gadget, etc.

It's too bad that the politicians themselves can't come out and explicitly SAY this but it needs to be addressed now.

Every piece of imported crap you buy produces several things...

    1. Further depreciates your dollars.
    2. Contributes to unemployment.
    3. Pepetuates a fucked up, consumption based society.

  5. by your stats, India should be a manufacturing powerhouse, neither is Sri lanka but it is not. It is transforming more to a service based sector. Why? Think:Infrastructure.

  9. China got lucky. It beat out the others at the export game early on because of Hong Kong. Hong Kong was China's front/back door to Western markets.

    Sri Lanka? too small.
India? Many Indians know English as 2nd language. Easier for service economy.

  10. Good!

It's already the biggest anyway. It has nowhere to go but DOWN.

Companies like Apple & Walmart are nothing but Chinese export shops.

Tax the shit out of Apple products through a VAT tax and you'll see America coming back!
