RTX up 35% VEEV was up 20, now 5% JBLU up 60% AJG was up 35% now 22% PD down 33% KR up 35% BGC was up 70%, now 40% Market, SPX 23% for comparison. So if you put even money on each of these stocks, you get pretty much the same. That one PD screwed up your returns, and you failed to outperform the market. If I add AMZN (up 45%) as you did in the 2nd post then you are better than the SPX by 2+%.
I have some spare time so could do the “audit”. To make it comparible to a benchmark like SPX I could create simply an equal weighted pf and create 2 % lines over the year. What makes it a bit difficult though is that exact buy and sell moment are sometimes vague, perhaps also called in other threads. Not referring to you, but I happen to know a stone guy which says something like “look at stock abc, could be something..” only to come back at it when it has exploded.
You left out quite a few Pek. AIR $59 to $69 BJ $65 to $99 APD $274 to $335 TWLO $59 to $148 DAL $37 to $68 CHUY (bought out) $24-$37 LMB $45 to $99 TS $32 to $38 CSCO $50 to $60 ORCL $106 to $170 YUMC $36 to $47 TTWO $157 to $191 JKHY $164 to $174 WM $193 to $222 SRAD $10 to $21 JEF $40 to $77 Doggy Coin $0.16 to $0.32 ACN $330 to $380 ODD $41 to $47 LNN $115 to $136 And those are 1/2 way thru my audit of the 45 pages of this thread. Losers: DG of course ... pos toilet stock FIZZ (but a $3.50 special divy paid) EYE $22 to $12 (Maybe a buy?! I'll have to look) HSCI flat CNC $79 to $64 ---> pos And there's probably a couple more, but like I said I only went thru 1/2 the posts. ALL stocks go up and down. Many of these were much higher at some point, and also much lower. Timing is everything. And yes everyone is a genius in a bull-market. My two 2025 picks so far, Reddit and TKO are doing quite well so far. Will they tank? Probably, but again, timing and reading the chart to know when to get in/out is everything.
Stride has come way too far too fast. Yes in many ways as a recidivism/HS dropout/trade-school online stock.... it's the right product for the right time.... which we certainly need.... but still.... too far too fast. 18 short months ago:
