    At least he's honest though.

"We are going to need a partner, global partner who cannot only help us develop it in phase three, but also launch the drug. So in fact ... we would welcome any interest in discussions with large pharma as we move this program forward," Garg said.

It was a good day for Krogers too. 1.2%. Doesn't sound too exciting, but for this stock a 1.2% move up is pretty decent if it holds. Low volume though, and every time it gets close to $46, it pulls right back.

The FTC decision regarding Albertsons should be coming out in the next few weeks. They've put up a pretty valid argument regarding the fact that the only way they can stay competitive with WMT is through scale in their buying power, and the corporate savings realized by the synergies this acquisition will provide.

The February $45 puts are only $0.90 so one would think, regardless of the decision, it won't be the end of the world. I think they'll get the nod though. That anti-trust lawsuit that was filed in CA by some special interest group was thrown out by a San Fran judge for the U.S. District Court of Northern CA. That's a pretty good sign imo. TBH though, I think it might be a sell the news event if it gets approved. Once they get the green-light, more issues are gonna arise. You can bet on it. Long term KR will be fine, but as a stock pick for outsized returns in 2024.... ahhhh..... wait for $38.

    AJG hit $225 today.

    Here's an interesting thought though.

Will Target be left out in the cold? Groceries are a big part of their operation. They have to stay competitive, because there's no way they can afford to lose all the foot traffic their grocery division provides.

Who might they buy.... is there anyone out there that would fit? Maybe not. And long term, that would not be good--- as groceries have been the one bright spot in their recent reports; and reduced grocery traffic will certainly mean reduced sales across their entire sku's.
    ----> Hmmm.:sneaky:

I've only really shopped in one Target so this may be unfair, but their grocery section is absolute dogshit. The aisles are unkempt and 20% of their items are out of stock at any given time. If the grocery line-item on their earnings breakdown is as good as you intimate, it must be just my store. (It's not a Super Target either, so they don't have stuff like fresh produce.)

I like Krogers to buy my groceries at since it's much cheaper than Whole Foods and more convenient than Walmart.
But the stock's range is too narrow for me. Do they pay a dividend?

The O/B - O/S is 47 to 41 on the 1-Yr Daily and 53 to 38 on the 3 Year Weekly. It currently only has an I.V. of around 19% and the highest it reached within the last 3 years is 55% in May of 2022. I think I would rather hold in cash and wait for opportunity

    Since 1991.... Kroger up 3262% not including dividends. S&P 1100%, DOW 1082%

Other than AMZN, and Apple, not many stocks have performed that well.
And they both had huge draw-downs along the way.

But like I said, it may be boring in 2024.

Lol... All the more reason for them for them to use the power of scale in their purchasing---- since no one will shop at a dump such as you describe unless it's dirt cheap.

Fwiw, the Targets I have been in aren't like that... but.... Lynchian insights like that which you provided----> are very important.

I can't do a two letter search, but I was saying this about DG when it was $257. I found a few posts, but they were later, and still at way higher prices than the stock is now. I even made a post to CNBC's Karen F. when she said she bought in heavy at $232... just in case someone near to her reads ET. I wanted her to dump it.

I am looking at KR's most recent angular momentums and it's looking alright. So at least there is that.
It might be good as a rotation play.
