Here's a new one for ya'll. Very thinly traded. I played it long a few times last year, did ok, but I've watched it ever since. They had a lousy report last quarter, and the stock has taken a 20% hit. It's pretty well run from a financial standpoint, the balance sheet is solid. No debt. But it's sensitive to millenial spending habits. I have never been in one, but just looking at them, their menu and their ambiance, they look pretty cool. They serve alcohol too. Always a plus. The chart looks horrible and its hitting new lows as I type, but at $24.50 it might be worth a look. Forward multiple of 13ish. CHUY---> $24.50 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuy's https://investor.chuys.com/
Yeah. No idea. Members of Congress should not be allowed to trade though. A new congressional trading form filed by Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi disclosed that she bought positions in two semiconductor giants last month, while changing her positions in Tesla (TSLA) and Visa (V). According to the form, the Congresswoman representing the 11th district in California purchased stakes in Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO). She bought 10,000 shares of Nvidia, worth between $1M and $5M, while she disclosed buying 20 call options with an $800 strike price on Broadcom and an expiration date of June 20, 2025. The value of the stake is between $1M and $5M, according to the form. The form also showed the 84-year-old Congresswoman sold 2,500 shares of Tesla, worth between $250,001 and $500,000. She also sold 2,000 shares of Visa, worth between $500,001 and $1M.
Hahahah... So I'm looking at this BU debate team lineup for 20 years prior to 1990... and there's one thing that jumps out immediately. They're 90% law students. And of the undergrads which were smart enough to get on the team... there appears to be fewer than 2 or 3 per year that made the team.... and of these there are fewer than exactly three that are English majors.. loyal readers of GBA here know that Stoney claims to have a BA in that. (I always internally questioned that judging by his command of sentence structure and the associated verbal flow) But two of those on the debate team are girls. The other one has an alphabet soup 9 digit last name of obvious Indian decent... so unless that's you Stoney... Stoney! Were you a law student? Why didn't you tell us?!!!! OMG... you can't make this up.
This stock... I called it out in the $80's in Stoney's thread, and at the time I pointed out the dust hadn't settled with their merger, and they had some PC problems with the former CEO I think, but prior to that, I had watched it for quite a long time. Like many of the stocks I follow, I lost money trying to short it. This was years ago, but when a stock burns me, I have a tendency to follow them infinitely. That's how I met Mr Gallagher. Anyway, this one... I keep hoping it pulls back below $100, but it is one of those stocks. It's thinly traded and it likes to burn shorts. One might call it a Trump stock because he loves this stuff, and the folks that generate the company's revenue love him... but whatever on that. And I do have to admit, it is very popular. Me personally, I've never been to one, watched one on TV, or anything else. But the stock... Do your own DD of course, not the best FA imo, but here ya go... TKO--->$112
The House of Gummy is the place to be. Just follow the Link https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/gba-presents-house-of-gummy.374311/ Right @stonedinvestor
TKO is $110 today. As crazy as this sounds amidst all the noise about the consumer pulling in the purse strings, and all the political bs that's going on... I think this is a good stock for uncertain times. We'll see, but from what I heard from someone that knows, these events are all 100% sold out shows and the tickets aren't cheap. They're like Taylor Swift concerts apparently. Earnings on 7/31, this will be their 3rd (technically the 4rth) since the merger with WWE, and there might be some lock-up sales since the stock has met the performance goals, but it's one to watch at least if $110 looks too pricey. Long term it should continue up.
